Coverage areas
Our coverage areas are as follows, according to the destination country of your international assignments:
AREA I: WORLDWIDE - INCLUDING USA, CANADA AND CARIBBEAN
Includes all countries and the high seas, excluding those in which, on the coverage start date, the US Government has expressly prohibited commercial transactions.
For US citizens, Coverage Area I will always be applicable.
AREA II: WORLDWIDE - EXCLUDING USA, CANADA AND CARIBBEAN
Coverage in all countries and the high seas, with the exception of the USA, Canada and the Caribbean.
AREA III: EUROPE
The following countries are included: Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and United Kingdom.
The countries considered as the Caribbean are: Anguilla, Antigua, Aruba, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Bonaire, Cayman Islands, Costa Rica], Cuba*, Curaçao, Dominica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Granada, Guadeloupe, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Martinique, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Puerto Rico, Saint Kitts, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent, Trinidad and Tobago and the Virgin Islands.
*Owing to trade sanctions, Cigna cannot make payments to bank accounts belonging to Cuban banks or to Cuban providers. Our intended members in Cuba must have a bank account outside this country.
